WoodPoP workshop and expert group meeting

Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, attended the Technical Working Group Innovation and Research European Wood Policy Platform (WoodPoP) workshop, held in Zurich, Switzerland.

The workshop explored strategies for more effectively bringing innovations to market, with a particular emphasis on the crucial role of both public and private instruments. It concluded with an excursion to ERNE AG Holzbau’s cutting-edge production plant, which provided inspiring insights into industry best practices and the use of Swiss Beech in high-rise wood construction.

The following day was dedicated to the WoodPoP’s 6th Expert Group Meeting. Experts and stakeholders within the wood-based value chain gathered to reflect on last year’s key events and discussed plans for the Platform and updates on upcoming events and key developments this year. Dr. Andreja Kutnar spoke about the next WoodPoP high level meeting, which will be held at InnoRenew CoE in October.

The 6th Expert Group Meeting concluded with a tour of the Empa’s NEST, a modular research building where participants saw innovation in action.
