The University of Primorska, in collaboration with InnoRenew CoE, is organizing a 3-day workshop »Wood Science beyond Europe« featuring Dr. Laurence Schimleck and Dr. Scott Leavengood from Oregon State University, USA. The workshop will be held 20-22 May 2025, at InnoRenew CoE premisses in Izola, Slovenia.

The event aims to gather the regional wood science community for discussing on highly relevant research topics performed in USA, to share information and knowledge about forest-based industry and research and development activities in Oregon, USA and to kick off an open discussion on non-destructive testing in various applications supporting the advancement of forest-based industries.

The workshop is relevant for professionals in wood science and relative fields, students, early career researchers, industry representatives an policy makers.
