Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, welcomed members of the Croatian association of architects for a professional study visit at the institute. She presented to them the values and principles of the New European Bauhaus, which were integrated into the design and construction of InnoRenew CoE’s building.

Additionally, Eva Prelovšek Niemela, responsible architect of the InnoRenew CoE building, provided insights of the specifics of designing timber buildings, while dr. Jakub Sandak, InnoRenew CoE deputy director, gave a lecture on moisture control during service life of wooden buildings.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the largest wooden building in Slovenia and research laboratories. Dr. Michael Burnard, InnoRenew CoE deputy director, presented the state of the art equipment and participants had the opportunity to witness experiment demonstrations.
