InnoRenew CoE hosted the FRISSBE event on advancing research in Slovenia and beyond through institutional collaboration

Today, InnoRenew CoE hosted the FRISSBE event “Advancing research in Slovenia and beyond through institutional collaboration”.

The event started with welcoming words of Prof. Dr. Klavdija Kutnar, University of Primorska’a rector, and Dr. Tomaž Boh, Director-General at the Science and Innovation Directorate. Among speakers were also Prof. Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, Tanja Vertelj, Head of Science Division at the Science and Innovation Directorate, Assist. Prof. Dr. Aleš Žnidarič, Director of the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andraž Legat, FRISSBE Project Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Grunde Jomaas, FRISSBE ERA Chair Holder, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Andrea Lucherini, Senior Researcher at ZAG.

These experts shared valuable insights into how the FRISSBE project at ZAG is advancing research excellence in fire-safe sustainable built environment. The project’s leaders shared insights on building long-lasting collaborations, attracting top talent, and fostering innovation.

Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Mike Burnard, Deputy Director of InnoRenew CoE, lead a roundtable discussion “Behind the scenes”.

The event was organized as part of the KRPAN project, co-funded by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the European Union’s NextGenerationEU program.
