On 15 February 2025, InnoRenew CoE celebrates its eighth year of establishment, and nearly a decade of groundbreaking research and innovation in renewable materials and sustainable built environments.
Since its establishment, InnoRenew CoE is fostering interdisciplinary research and collaboration, advancing scientific knowledge, and supporting its transition to industry, with the aim of creating a more sustainable future.
In 2024 InnoRenew CoE successfully applied for national and international grants and obtained more than €3 million. Among the prestigious grants received is EIC Pathfinder (Remedy), with InnoRenew CoE as coordinator of the international consortium.
Additionally, the institute increased the industrial collaboration and increased market income to approx. 14 % of the revenue of 2024. We became a member of the Technology Council for Advanced Materials of the European Commission, where the influence on future financing of the field is possible. InnoRenew CoE obtained 2 SHARE Architecture Awards 2024. One prize was received in the work place – offices category and the other prize was for the overall competition. Visibility in scientific community with scientific publications and participation in international conferences and by national and international media presents, was increased. The institute organized 53 events last year, including the InnoRenew CoE International Conference 2024, which was held in Izola on 11-12 September 2024.
This anniversary is also an opportunity to appreciate the dedication and teamwork of everyone contributing to InnoRenew CoE’s success. The institute’s achievements would not be possible without the passion and expertise of the people who make it happen.
