Dr. Jaka Gašper Pečnik, InnoRenew CoE researcher, attended the project Barkbuild final event, held 18-19 February 2025, at the Stockholm University in Sweden.

The two-day event began with a seminar open to the public, featuring attendees from the industry and students from Stockholm University. The seminar covered different topics on utilization of waste bark for coatings, adhesives, wood-based composites, and different extraction processes of polyphenols for wood impregnation. Dr. Jaka Gašper Pečnik presented project activities and outcomes which were carried on at InnoRenew CoE, and put special focus on bark-based coatings and adhesives for healthy indoor environments.

On the second day, project partners gathered for the final project meeting to discuss overall project achievements, review the last activities, and explore future opportunities for collaboration.

The event was a significant milestone, highlighting the successful completion of the Barkbuild project and setting the stage for continued innovation and partnership.
