InnoRenew CoE at the 28th International Timber Construction Forum

InnoRenew CoE team attended the 28th International Timber Construction Forum (IHF) 2024, held in Innsbruck, Austria.

The IHF 2024 offered a rich program, among which also the session IHF-PROLOGUE V – Education and vocational training, organised by the Technical Working Group ‘Education and Vocational Training’ of the European Wood Policy Platform (woodPoP).

Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, was moderating the session together with Veronika Juch, International Union of Forest Research Organization (IUFRO), about Perspectives from the New European Bauhaus Academy on upskilling and reskilling the wood construction sector. Besides, she presented also New European Bauhaus Academy Alliance and the NEBA Hub, hosted at the University of Primorska.

Dr. Michael Burnard, InnoRenew CoE Deputy director, presented the New European Bauhaus, while Dr. Rok Prislan, head of research department for buildings at InnoRenew CoE presented the topic of acoustics of timber buildings and showed to participants an onsite experiment.

The forum offers timber builders, planners, engineers, and architects the opportunity to share experiences, work, and goals related to timber structures and constructions.
