This year’s Children’s Week takes place from 7 to 13 October and focuses on the theme Child, the unwritten page. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the celebration, the organisers are reminding us through various activities how important it is to provide to children conditions for a happy and fulfilling childhood.

Dr Jaka Gašper Pečnik and Marica Mikuljan, InnoRenew CoE researchers, conducted a wood workshop for children from the Mavrica Izola kindergarten in the physical testing laboratory. They learnt about this material and used the wood to create different products.

Children’s Week is an opportunity to look at the needs of our youngest children and to reflect on how we can all contribute together to ensuring that every child, like an unwritten page, develops into a unique, creative and happy person.
