Help us improve the acoustic comfort of the built environment

The InnoRenew CoE’s Buildings research department invites you to join the study about acoustic comfort and noise perception, as a listening test participant!

We are examining the perception and influence of impact noise on people. Sounds are present everywhere in our daily life and sounds that we find disturbing are defined as noise. In the built environment especially impact noise – for instance audible walking noise from neighbours – is perceived as particularly disturbing and can affect our well-being and productivity.

What is your task?

In a listening test, you will evaluate how much you are bothered by impact sound. For this purpose, short audio samples are played back in our laboratory using the Ambisonics loudspeaker system. Your task is to evaluate these samples with a questionnaire and to perform a cognitive task.

Why participate?

Your support will help us to improve the acoustic conditions of living and working environments.

When & Where?

From October 2024 in the acoustics laboratory at InnoRenew CoE, Livade 6a, 6310 Izola!
