Dr. Rok Prislan, Dr. Mohammad Derikvand and Dr. Jaka Gašper Pečnik, InnoRenew CoE researchers, took part in the Summer School for Modal Analysis organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at KU Leuven in Belgium.

The course focused on theoretical topics on the dynamic behavior of systems, including frequency responses of objects, natural and dumping frequencies, followed by practical demonstrations. Topics also included the preparation of the experimental setup, signal processing, signal analysis and the demonstration of various applications from different technical fields, as well as a visit to the test laboratory.

After the course, the researchers visited the acoustics laboratory at KU Leuven and discussed possible research collaborations with Dr Monika Rychtarikova, head of the Acoustics and Architecture subdivision at KU Leuven.
