The InnoRenew CoE International Conference 2024 (IRIC2024) will take place 11-12 September 2024, in the InnoRenew CoE building, in Izola, Slovenia. The keynote speaker will be Pablo van der Lugt (PhD, MSc Eng), who is a passionate advocate of high performance bio-based materials. At IRIC2024 he will speak about “The future is biobased – towards the next building revolution.”

IRIC2024 will provide a forum to explore renewable materials and their use for creating healthy, sustainable buildings during four thematic sessions:

• Sustainability and energy efficiency of buildings
• Buildings skin
• Design for human well-being
• Advanced manufacturing for the future of built environment

The conference is an opportunity to share and discuss emerging science and innovations in renewable materials that can be used in the built environment to enhance human and environmental well-being.

Additionally, Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, and the conference keynote speaker, will close the conference with a discussion about “New European Bauhaus Academy Hub in Ukraine and NEBA Alliance. What can the stakeholders contribute?”
