Dr. Mariem Zouari, InnoRenew CoE researcher, successfully defended her PhD at the University of Primorska’s Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies.

Her PhD focused on biocarbon-based waterborne functional coating for integrated adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of indoor volatile organic compounds. She was developing this research topic under supervision of Assoc. Prof. David DeVallance, PhD and co-mentorship of Laetitia Marrot, PhD at the Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments program.
