Dr. René Herrera Díaz and Ana Gubenšek, InnoRenew CoE researchers, attended the IRG55 meeting of the International Research Group on Wood Protection in Tennessee, USA.

Ana Gubenšek received one of the 2024 Ron Cockcroft Awards (RCA), to attend the IRG55 meeting, and to present the topic of time-lapse evaluation of aureobasidium pullulans growth on selected lignin derivates, which is a research study related to the ARCHI-SKIN project.

Dr. René Herrera Díaz presented “Exploring bio-based chemicals in the residual stream from the thermal wood modification process,” in the conference session dedicated to wood modification.

The International Research Group on Wood Protection (IRGWP) is the premier organization globally for the dissemination of scientific information on wood products protection.
