Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, attended the kick off meeting of the RurALL project (Liveable Rural Communities of the Future – New Integrated governance model to address depopulation of rural areas) with the main theme New European Bauhaus in rural communities.
Dr. Andreja Kutnar presented the main objectives of the New European Bauhaus Academy Alliance, and discussed with Dr. Jerneja Jug Jerše, Head of European Commission Representation in Slovenia, about the RurALL project, key values and its ambition to exploit the potential of older buildings in addressing the challenge of depopulation rural areas. Finally, she spoke about possible synergies that could be developed among RurALL project partners and New European Bauhaus Academy Alliance.
The RurALL project addresses the major challenge of depopulation in rural areas that is considered as one of most universal challenges of Danube area. The main project objective is to develop a governance model on addressing depopulation in rural areas by improving planning, management, and decision-making/collaborative capacities of rural communities in exploiting the potential of deteriorating dwellings (buildings).
