Dr. Ana Slavec about religious and mental health determinants of the covid-19’s fear

Dr. Ana Slavec, InnoRenew CoE and University of Primorska’s researcher, together with dr. Șerban Olah from University of Oradea, Romania, dr. Katarzyna Bałandynowicz-Panfil, dr. Małgorzata Łosiewicz and dr. Magdalena Iwanowska from University of Gdańsk, Poland, dr.  Janez Štebe from University of Ljubljana, dr. Mojca Šoštarič Zvonar from University Psychiatric Clinic Ljubljana, and dr. Adrienn Kaszás and dr. Győző Pék from University of Debrecen, Hungary, recently published an article “The religious and mental health determinants of the covid-19’s fear in the CEE countries,” in European Journal of Science and Theology.

The article is based on a covid-19 vaccination study that was conducted in Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Hungary. The research show that the intrinsic religiosity, age, stress, anxiety and exposure to the news from the traditional media or to the information coming from professional sources seem to increase the degree of fear during the pandemic context.
