The European Commission in cooperation with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, is organizing the New European Bauhaus Festival which aims to bring together a wide range of stakeholders – industry representatives, opinion leaders, innovation experts, scientists and artists – to discuss the key issues enabling a sustainable transformation of our society.
Among the festival’s speakers will be Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director and the NEB Academy coordinator: “At the festival I will present the story and the process of creating the NEB Academy at the University of Primorska and highlight the planned activities of the alliance which is composed of 14 partners from Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands.”
Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, will officially launch the New European Bauhaus Academy at the festival, whose key objective is to develop an international alliance of education and training providers across Europe to offer tailored and high-quality services and training programmes in the field of sustainable buildings. The European Commission is convinced that the NEBA Academy is a strong support for the European construction industry, as it also addresses the important issue of labour shortages and promotes the exchange of knowledge on sustainable solutions, such as the circular use of wood and other innovative materials.
The festival will bring together people from all over Europe to share their vision and actions for a sustainable, beautiful and inclusive future. Various activities will include the announcement of the New European Bauhaus Prize 2024 winners. InnoRenew CoE is also among finalist to receive the prize.
Participation in the festival is free and open to all, but the registration is required. You are kindly invited to attend!
