Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, hosted representatives of the Municipality of Paços de Ferreira, Portugal, including the Mayor of the city of Paços de Ferreira, Humberto Brito.

The group of Portuguese stakeholders working towards the establishment of the future Furniture Technology Center includes Portuguese universities and business associations. They wanted to discuss with InnoRenew CoE representatives about the institute’s research topics, especially relevant to the furniture industry. Additionally, they talked about possible future collaboration on joint topics, and InnoRenew CoE provided great insight into its experience with setting up a sustainable research center.

Guests were greeted also by Milan Bogatič, the Mayor of Izola, who expressed support for such collaborative activities of both organizations.

Before the departure Dr. Jakub Sandak and Dr. Michael Burnard, InnoRenew CoE Deputy directors, toured around research laboratories and presented the state-of-the-art research equipment.
