This week, Dr. Matthew Schwarzkopf, Sasikala Perumal, Edit Földvári-Nagy, InnoRenew CoE researchers, and students from University of Primorska toured the Lesonit production facility in Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia.

Danjel Valečič gave them a tour and presented the manufacturing of medium density fiberboard.

The visit was part of the curriculum for the Wood Composites courses in the Sustainable Built Environments Master’s program as well as the Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments PhD programs.
