Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, and Bogdan Božac, InnoRenew CoE’s assistant director, attended the 11th Forest and Wood Sector Development Day, organised by SPIRIT Slovenia in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and the Wood Cluster.
The event, which was attended by more than 120 individuals from various fields, aimed at presenting the development activities and challenges of the Slovenian forest and wood sector, with a particular focus on ensuring the resilience of wood construction to the disasters resulting from climate change.
Dr. Andreja Kutnar participated in the discussion on the development challenges of the forest-wood sector in the light of climate change and the resilience of wood construction to disasters. They exchanged their views, experiences and suggestions on how to ensure quality and disaster-resistant wood construction.
The event was attended by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, Dejan Židan, who stressed the importance of the forest-wood sector for the Slovenian economy and society and expressed his support for its further development and innovation.
