Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, attended the third edition of the ECCOMAS Thematic conference on Computational Methods in Wood Mechanics (CompWood 2023), held in Dresden, Germany.

She held a plenary lecture about enhancing mechanical properties of wood by thermo hydro mechanical (THM) treatments. She presented the work that has been done in the past fifteen years, with the focus on the THM treatments, and the need for future research in the field.

The conference is devoted to computational methods applied in the field of wood mechanics and timber engineering for research from material properties up to structural applications.
