Today Alojz Kovšca, President of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, visited the University of Primorska and the InnoRenew CoE.
He was welcomed at the University of Primorska by the Rector, Dr Klavdija Kutnar, and the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Research Activities of the University of Primorska, Dr Štefko Miklavič. They presented the University’s activities in the framework of various academic and economic partnerships, both locally and nationally, and at the international level, where it is part of international associations and networks.
After the discussion, they visited the Servite Monastery and the renovation work – after the roof renovation, which stopped further deterioration, the main archaeological work is now underway, which has revealed interesting and valuable finds. The Servite monastery is thus still in the process of gradual restoration and renovation, led by the University of Primorska and the InnoRenew CoE, which Mr. Alojz Kovšca visited afterward.
Dr. Michael Burnard, InnoRenew CoE Deputy director, welcomed him and presented main institute’s activities and organizational structure. Following Dr. Burnard presented to them the new InnoRenew CoE building and discussed the research laboratories and equipment used to perform state-of-the-art research.
