The EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region EUSAIR is organizing together with other partners the Mediterranean coastal and macro-regional strategies week under the slogan “Healthy sea for safer future”.

Today, 23 September 2022, they organized two workshops, which were held at the InnoRenew CoE building.

The first workshop was about green transition in macro regions with the goal of building capacities in terms of existing resources and generate joint knowledge on how macro regional strategies processes could foster the overall green transition. The second one was dedicated to the topic of innovation for sustainable blue economy. Innovation trends and recommendations in relation to EUSAIR Pillar I flagships, were presented in respect to the implementation of Smart Specialization Strategies through regional cooperation.

Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, greeted all participants and welcomed them in the largest wooden building in Slovenia which represents a good case study towards a greener future.
