Dr. Iztok Šušteršič, research group leader at InnoRenew CoE, participated in the roundtable discussion about Opportunities of the forestry sector for increasing the raw material self-sufficiency of the Slovenian economy, organised by the Wood Industry Directorate, within the 54th fair MOS.

The event started with official remarks by mag. Dejan Židan, State Secretary at the MGRT, Blaž Cvar, President of the Chamber of Crafts and Enterprise of Slovenia, and Igor Milavec, Director of the Association of the Wood and Furniture Industry, Chamber of Commerce.

The opening lectures included a presentation by Dr. Iztok Šušteršič, who presented about how the timber industry can contribute to the self-sufficiency of the Slovenian economy and society and to reducing dependence on imports from foreign suppliers.
