The Charm of Wood 2022 traveling exhibition’s opening ceremony will take place on Friday, 17 June 2022 at 13:00 in the new InnoRenew CoE building in Izola.

Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, Dejan Židan, State Secretary from the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Danilo Anton Ranc, Director-General of the Wood Industry Directorate, Rok Capl, Acting Director of SPIRIT Slovenia, Branko Mah, president of Obrtno-podjetniška zbornica, and Franc Pohleven, initiator and organizer of the Charm of Wood exhibition, will address the event’s participants.

There will also be a musical performance by four local musicians Lana Hrvatin and Enej Žagar, Vid Starman and Gašper Cink from the One Cupcake Away group.

Charm of Wood is being held for the 14th consecutive year to promote wood and wood products and raise awareness about the sustainable aspects of this natural material. The Charm of Wood traveling exhibition is stopping in several locations across Slovenia, and InnoRenew CoE and the University of Primorska will host it in the InnoRenew CoE building until the end of June.

Friday’s event is organized by the Association for the Protection of Wood of Slovenia, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, SPIRIT Slovenia – Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, InnoRenew CoE, and the Wood Council.
