The 7^th UNESCO UNITWIN 2022 Conference, “World Heritage and Tourism Innovation,” was organized by the UNESCO UNITWIN Network “Culture, Tourism, Development” and its member, the University of Primorska, Faculty Tourism Studies TURISTICA. It is being held in Portorož, Slovenia, from 15–20 May.

Conference attendees visited the InnoRenew CoE building. Eva Prelovšek Niemelä, InnoRenew CoE’s architect and researcher, and Dr. Iztok Šušteršič, InnoRenew CoE’s research group leader, welcomed them and presented the new building with its research laboratories.

The conference is an international and interdisciplinary forum addressing the emerging need for sustainability-oriented innovations in tourism management of heritage sites.
