Today, InnoRenew CoE hosted members of the Managers’ Association of Slovenia, who planted 200 trees in Baredi, Izola. The association fulfilled its promise from last year’s Manager Congress, which became a carbon-neutral event.

“In 2022, the association is following the slogan ‘Responsibility for the Future’. Today’s tree planting campaign also demonstrates the responsibility we have towards the environment and the societies in which we live and work. By taking such actions, we want to contribute and at the same time encourage more sustainable action. We are aware that the economy is an indispensable engine of sustainable change and that managers have a key role to play in this process, as their competences make a bridge between ideas, people and processes,” said Petra Juvančič, Executive Director of the Managers’ Association of Slovenia.

Later participants visited also the InnoRenew CoE and its research laboratories. Dr Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director and Dr Iztok Šušteršič, research group leader at InnoRenew CoE, presented the research activities and the construction process of this largest wooden building in Slovenia.

Participants were also greeted by the Mayor of Izola, Danilo Markočič, who is very happy that the tree planting campaign was performed in Izola.
