InnoRenew CoE will host an event within the framework of the “Protection of bronze monuments in the changing environment” project (ARRS J7-9404), which will be held on Tuesday, 24 August 2021 from 17:00 – 19:00 at Tartini Square in Piran, Slovenia.
At the event, a plaque will be placed next to the Tartini monument to engage the public in the protection of cultural heritage through the collection of data (i.e., photographs) that documents damage to bronze monuments. InnoRenew CoE researchers will also present and demonstrate the research equipment used in the project, for example 3D scanner and several sensors.
The project was concluded in June of this year, and its goal was to develop a holistic approach for the care for bronze cultural heritage objects. The Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia led the project, in collaboration with InnoRenew CoE and the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute, and it was financed by the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS).
Everyone is invited to visit InnoRenew CoE researchers at the Tartini square event next week!
