In September 2022, InnoRenew CoE and the University of Primorska will host one of the most influential world conferences in the field of contemporary sustainable construction: Woodrise 2022.

Woodrise 2022 will take place 6-7 September 2022 in Portorož, Slovenia, where best practical examples of sustainable construction from around the world will be presented. From 8-9 September 2022, the conference will offer technical and business tours of the construction and wood processing industry in Slovenia and the surrounding area.

Dr Iztok Šušteršič, conference president and InnoRenew CoE’s Sustainable Buildings with Renewable Materials research group leader, commended the Woodrise Alliance’s decision to entrust InnoRenew CoE and the University of Primorska with organizing and hosting this event.

“We are very honored that the international alliance of universities, institutes and research centers, which oversees the organization of Woodrise conferences, trusted us with such an important event,” Dr Šušteršič said.
