Dr Iztok Šušteršič, Sustainable Building with Renewable Materials research group leader, collaborated on a winning solution for the Hotel Europa in Rečica, Slovenia.

The Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia published the results of an open two-stage competition for the selection of the most professionally suitable solution for Hotel Europa. As they wrote on their website, “the aim of the competition was to design a place that will invite visitors to relax and indulge in an active vacation in harmony with nature and views of Bled lake and the surrounding area.”

The Chamber received 16 applications with possible solutions, which will be exhibited in the Bled Festival Hall at the beginning of next year.
