December 20, 2024
On Tuesday, 1 December, the 2020 Zois Awards and recognitions, Puch awards and recognitions and the Ambassador of Science of the Republic of Slovenia were officially delivered to researchers who have made an important contribution to the development of scientific research in the country.
Due to the current measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, this year’s ceremony was performed with a documentary film “Highlights of Slovenian Science in the light of award winners for outstanding achievements 2020”.
Among this year’s receipts was Dr Katarina Čufar, who received the Recognition for important achievements in the development of dendrochronology and wood science. InnoRenew CoE is pleased that this scientific area is getting attention at the national level, which was also evident in 2018 when Dr Andreja Kutnar received the Zois award for important scientific achievements in the field of wood science.
Moreover, the Zois Certificate of Recognition for scientific achievements in the development of the methodology of medical statistics was awarded to Dr Lara Lusa, from the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies at the University of Primorska.
InnoRenew CoE congratulates all awarded scientists and wishes them continued research success!
