In response to the recent outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the 9th National Symposium of NIR Spectroscopy (NIR Italia 2020) has been rescheduled for 24-25 February 2021.

Conference organizers made this decision in order to guarantee the health of everyone involved and ensure a high level of scientific contribution and social interaction among participants. The Italian Society for Near Infrared Spectroscopy (SISNIR), in collaboration with InnoRenew CoE and the University of Primorska, will host NIR Italia 2020 in Koper, Slovenia, as originally planned. Organizers hope that the new dates fit your schedule and allow you to join the conference next year.

Abstract submission has been extended until 15 December 2020, and abstracts will undergo peer review.

SISNIR has also issued a call to finance ten scholarships for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, which can be accessed here.
