Dr Anna Sandak, InnoRenew CoE’s research group leader for Wood Modification, and Dr Jakub Sandak, researcher in the same research group, are special issue editors for the Coatings journal. Coatings is an online open access, peer-reviewed journal, with an impact factor of 2.436, that is published monthly and features contributions about coatings and surface engineering.

The special issue, “Wood Modification: Characterization, Modelling and Applications”, will present progress in improving native wood properties by using a wide range of chemical, biological and physical sources.

Researchers are invited to disseminate their latest findings in this area by submitting contributions by 15 February 2021.
