Dr Andreja Kutnar, director of the InnoRenew CoE, attended an invitation-only COST Academy networking event held in Brussels, Belgium, on 4 December 2019.

The aim of the event was to present successful COST Actions that continued in other forms of collaboration after the official end date.

Dr Kutnar was chair of COST Action FP1407 ModWoodLife, which ended in March 2019. At the recent COST Academy networking event, she presented ModWoodLife and pointed out the collaborations that followed: industrial companies and research institutes that were part of the Action are now members of Living Laboratory InnoRenew, several researchers from the Action came to InnoRenew CoE for longer research visits and – the other way around – InnoRenew CoE employees have visited research organizations that were part of the Action.

In addition to presentations and discussion, the event provided a good opportunity for participants to engage, network and develop new ideas for future connections.
