The main objective of COST Action CA17107 – European Network to connect research and innovation efforts on advanced Smart Textiles is to create a network of European researchers and other relevant stakeholders in order to develop joint ideas and initiatives that can be turned into advanced smart textile products.

On the 30th and 31th January 2019, CA17107 organized its first conference in Barcelona, Spain, on the topic of trends in smart textiles across different industries.

Dr Laetitia Marrot , the InnoRenew CoE researcher, joined the conference as she is the Management Committee substitute for Slovenia. Together with other participants, she discussed smart textiles in the building sector. Moreover, she attended the roundtable discussion of digitalization and sustainability in the advanced textiles industry. The discussion concluded with a successful case study of how research reached the market.
