The Connected Smart Cities Conference (CSCC19) brings together cities, policy-makers and representatives from research, academia, start-ups and innovators. It is a unique venue, which connects participants from all over the world. CSCC19 was driven by the theme “Making Agile The New Stable”.

The conference was split into four themes – Tech, Future, Green and Funds. The research group leader of Sustainable Building with Renewable Materials at the InnoRenew CoE, Dr Iztok Šušteršič, participated in the Green part as a co-chair. The discussion was focused on building sustainable environments.

Participants had a great opportunity to learn and discuss how open standards and minimal interoperability mechanisms support cities and businesses alike to create an open and global smart city market based on cities’ needs.
