Within the framework of AMBIENT Ljubljana, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, the Public agency of the Republic of Slovenia SPIRIT, and the Slovenian Wood Society (Društvo lesarjev Slovenije), together with its partners, organized a conference and a round table discussion on the topic of challenges in wood sector – “Izzivi v lesarstvu”.

InnoRenew CoE is a proud sponsor of this event and two of our researchers – Barbara Rovere and Dr Črtomir Tavzes attended the event and learned more about the digitization in the wood industry and furniture design in the future.

The roundtable discussion was focused on wood furniture for the nautical industry (Lesarske niše). Industry leaders from Slovenian companies – Podgorje d.o.o., Metalika d.o.o., Laker Craft, and J&J Design discussed about opportunities for creating added value and strengthening their presence in European and global markets.
