(MA) Julija Uršič is an editor and essayist holding a postgraduate degree in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory from the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. She has worked as a freelance essay writer and in book publishing, first as head publicist with Cankarjeva založba and later as editor for original and translated fiction with Modrijan.
She writes for various outlets and has published two scholarly books, Metamatika. Branja metafikcije [Metamathics. Reading Metafiction] (Ljubljana: LUD Literatura, 2000) and K i Š. O avtobiografskem in metafikcijskem v prozi Danila Kiša [K i Š. On Authobiography And Metafiction In The Works of Danilo Kiš] (Ljubljana: LUD Literatura, 2015) as well as curating a selection of Kiš’s writings, Čitanka Danila Kiša [The Danilo Kiš Reader] (Ljubljana: Litera, 2011). She is currently a language editor for Slovenian with the InnoRenew CoE.
